HIS PEERS ARE THE ORIGINAL AMERICANS !

"Tried in the court of my peers" is a phrase that refers to the right of a defendant to have their case heard by an impartial jury of their peers. This right is guaranteed by the Sixth Amendment of the U.S. Constitution, which states that "the accused shall enjoy the right to a speedy and public trial, by an impartial jury".
The term "peers" means "equal" and the purpose of a jury of peers is to ensure that the jury's verdict is not influenced by biases. To achieve this, the jury pool is selected randomly from a broad cross-section of the local community, including a variety of races, genders, and national origins. During jury selection, the judge, prosecution, and defense can question potential jurors to determine if there are any factors in their background that could prejudice their judgment. Both sides can also remove jurors they think may be biased.
The phrase "jury of peers" originated in England with the signing of the Magna Carta, which ensured that members of the nobility were tried by fellow nobles, rather than the king.
